Dry Needling

PPAS

PPAS- Puncture Physiothérapique avec Aiguilles Sèches https://oppq.qc.ca/formation/puncture-physiotherapique-base/ is commonly referred to as "Dry Needling".  Essentially a fine needle is used to treat inflammation of tissue found anatomically throughout the muscles.  It is not used in the same manner nor does it intend to treat meridians as in traditional acupuncture.   The method of "PPAS" is very effective for the treatment of  myofascial pain and inflammation, especially when there are taut bands.  At times there may be links related to radicular pain which is facilitated by the spine.  This form of treatment is in keeping with Gunn IMS - Intramuscular Stimulation.

PPAS- la "Puncture Physiothérapique avec Aiguilles Sèches" https://oppq.qc.ca/formation/puncture-physiotherapique-base/ est bien connu comme  "Dry Needling". Essentiellement une aiguille fine est utilisée pour traiter l'inflammation des tissus qui se trouvent dans les muscles.  Elle n'est pas utilisée de la même manière et ne vise pas à traiter les méridiens comme dans l'acupuncture traditionnelle.   La méthode "PPAS" est très efficace pour le traitement des douleurs et inflammations myofasciales, surtout lorsqu'il y a des bandes tendues. Parfois, il peut y avoir des liens liés à la douleur radiculaire qui est intriguée par la colonne vertébrale. Cette forme de traitement est en accord avec Gunn IMS - Stimulation Intramusculaire.
